AV 411 Oil Spill Dispersant

AV 411 OSD Oil Spill Dispersant is a liquid specially formulated to disperse oil in shipping boilers or to deal with operational disturbances that arise due to oil / oil contamination, besides that, it can disperse crude oil contamination at sea and on the ship deck so that it is safe for the environment.

USES:

Can clean, disperse oil spills including crude oil, kerosene, gas-oil, oil spilled in factories, or ports, waterways, at sea or in offshore drilling.

ADVANTAGES:

• AV 411 OSD converts hydrocarbon liquids into emulsions. The conversion to very small particles has the following effects: for further acceleration of the degradation by marine bacteria, to eliminate the coating effect which affects the change in physicochemical medium between the atmosphere and the marine.
• AV 411 OSD uses surfactants which are biodegradable.

USER GUIDE:

Pollution in the River

• If the oil layer is thick enough, separate it before being dispersed
• Add OSD AV 411 to the top of the oil layer, wait for 15 to 30 minutes and stir.
• If the oil layer is still there, add OSD AV 411 and repeat as necessary.

Pollution at the port:

• Before using OSD AV 411 it is recommended to surround the spill with an oil boom, if the oil layer is thick enough to skim or wear it using oil absorbent powder.
• Flush OSD AV 411 into the oil spill, with a hand spray gun, if the spill is not too large, or with an oil spraying boom attached to the water from the polution control vessels, making sure the product can spread over the surface of the oil spill before the wave from the boat engine covers it with water .
• Wait 15 to 30 minutes for the oil to absorb the product, then stir the oil and dispersant mixture using a firehouse or other equipment for agitation.
• Oil spills on the dock wall can be removed with OSD AV 411, namely: spray the product directly and leave it for 30 minutes, then the oil can be removed using a fire house. If the oil layer is still there, repeat as necessary.

Pollution at Sea and Offshore Drilling Platforms:

The method of application used is the same as above.

• Surround the oil spill with an oil boom. This can be done in three different ways:
  • pulled by two outboard vessels,
  • intercept the oil spill that is drifting in the direction of the current
  • attach the two ends to the two buoys. This technique is most often used offshore platforms.
• Pump or skim off oil spills.

PRODUCT DOSAGE:

• Light hydro carbon (light crude oil, kerosene, gas-oil). 1 liter OSD AV 411 per 10 liters of light hydrocarbon.
• Intermediate crude oil: 1.5 liters of OSD AV 411 per 10 liters of crude oil.
• Heavy hydrocarbon (oxidized crude oil, residual fuels oil 2 liters OSD AV 411 per 10 liters heavy hydrocarbon.

SAFETY AND HANDLING:
If it comes in contact with skin or in eyes, wash it thoroughly with water.

• Specific gravity: 0.80 ± 0.85 at 20 ° C PMCC (IP 34 – 67 or ASTM D93-66)
